| Electric Panic Bar
Locksmith 24hr Electric Panic Bars are designed for access control, high security doors, or large-scale type doors. When pressure is applied to the push pad, the micro switch (located inside the bar) immediately releases the electromagnet lock at the top of the door. Locksmith 24hr panic bars are a grade 1 UL listed heavy duty exit device designed to be used in a high traffic area. It is a single door application as opposed to a double door application. A non fire-rated version of the device can be locked open to allow access during business hours. This is great for the front doors of a building.
Any electric panic bar device should come with an emergency door release which is designed to override the electrical locking/release devices in case of emergency such as a power outage. A key is equipped with the Emergency Door Release to replace glass or reset unit.
